Conclusions
The spatial distribution of the population aged 60 years and over relative to the total population is illustrated in Figure 2 . A concentration is observed on the borders between Guadalajara and Zapopan, characterized by the construction of colonies in the first decades of the 20th century. The distribution of reported crimes concerning the number of inhabitants of the neighborhood is shown in Figure 3. A concentration is observed on the boundaries of Zapopan and Guadalajara.
“In reality, there is nothing particular in terms of aging, different from what is already known about the phenomenon of insecurity in public spaces. The most relevant point is probably the awareness of increased vulnerability, which does affect walking, but not in a direct and measurable way. The incidence of the increased feeling of insecurity is on the quality of walking. ”
